LET'S HAVE A BLAST!
Celebrate Redwood Falls invites you to come and have a blast on Lake Redwood on Saturday, February 6 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Fire & Ice Festival! Enjoy free activities and food for all ages! Bring your skates to enjoy the ice on a rink or follow the cleared trail upriver. Pick up your hot dog, s’mores kit and hot beverage and gather round one of the many bonfires. Get in on mini golf, broom ball, bean bag, Bobski racing (chairs on skis) and other games. Take a walk along the Tiki Torch Trail or jump in line at the Cornerstone Church sled rides to explore more of the Redwood River. For the big finale, we’re going to shake the lake again with a fireworks show at 8:00pm! No matter how you look at it, it’s a COOL way to spend your night!
Organizers hope to see everyone out on the ice enjoying the many activities and would like to thank all of our sponsors who make this event possible including Cornerstone Church, MN Valley Snow Riders Club, Orrin S. Estebo, and Northwest Drywall. This is the 13th year of the Fire & Ice Festival on Lake Redwood. There will be lots of fun on the streets with UCAP Big Buddies, Redwood Falls Lions Club, Farmers Union Industries, Kelly's School of Dance, Cornerstone Church, Pizza Ranch, Old National Bank and participating stores: The Golden Rule Coffee House and Amanda's Apparel! And be sure to come to The Francois Haunted Hotel for our kid-friendly tours! Thanks to all of the participating organizations and businesses for making this a fun event for kids! The Francois Haunted Hotel all lit up for our upcoming event. It's not just a made up name. The corner building was actually the Francois Hotel. Built back in the 1800's. It burned to the ground in 1903. It was rebuilt on the old foundation the following year as a two story rather than the original 3 story. Starting this Friday and Saturday the 23rd and 24th from 7-9pm. Come down and check in for a frightful visit. You can also check out more François Hotel history on the wall just as you enter the Hotel lobby. Remember to tip generously before you "check out" so you don't anger the spirits trapped in the basement.

Orientation for volunteers is Tuesday Oct 20 at 6pm at the Francois if you are interested in learning more about how you can help on event nights (Oct 23, 24, 30 & 31 from 6-9:30pm). This is a great time to see what it takes to make the Haunted Hotel run each night!
