FIRE & ICE FESTIVAL
February 8, 2025
LET'S HAVE A BLAST!
Celebrate Redwood Falls invites you to come and have a blast on Lake Redwood on Saturday, February 8 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Fire & Ice Festival! Enjoy free activities and food for all ages! Bring your skates to enjoy the ice on a rink or follow the cleared trail upriver. Pick up your hot dog, s’mores kit and hot beverage and gather round one of the many bonfires. Get in on mini golf, broom ball, bean bag, Bobski racing (chairs on skis) and other games. Take a walk along the Tiki Torch Trail or jump in line at the Cornerstone Church sled rides to explore more of the Redwood River. For the big finale, we’re going to shake the lake again with a fireworks show at 8:00pm! No matter how you look at it, it’s a COOL way to spend your night!
Organizers hope to see everyone out on the ice enjoying the many activities and would like to thank all of our sponsors who make this event possible including Cornerstone Church, MN Valley Snow Riders Club, Northwest Drywall, and S&S Rental. This is the ninth year of the Fire & Ice Festival on Lake Redwood. For additional updates, like and follow Celebrate Redwood Falls on Facebook at www.facebook.com/CelebrateRWF!
Tonight is the last night to enjoy the work of 100s of volunteer hours to set up the park for NightFalls! Starting tomorrow (Sunday), 100s more hours are needed to take it all back down. Please come to the swayback Sunday, May 4 between 10am-7pm to help us de-light the park! Even an hour or two of your time makes a big difference! While Sunday is the big day, we can use your help on Monday and Tuesday between 10-7 also until it's all out of the park. We appreciate all of our volunteers and hope you will join us!
We'll let you in on a little secret...well, two actually. Thursday night is our quietest night so it's a great time to visit! Then come back again Friday and/or Saturday to see it all again! The second secret (for some) is that Ramsey Park has another, lesser known falls (pictured here) called The Falls of the Redwood. As you can see, we light it up during the event and it's pretty spectacular! To get there, take the trail between Zeb Gray and the ELCA Synod office. Park in the city lot on Bridge and Washington streets to take the trail behind the synod office and make your way to the falls!
The rain will clear out well before NightFalls gets started at 8:30pm tonight and the rest of the weekend looks perfect! Thursday is the least busy if you prefer that, food trucks and musical performances are Friday and Saturday by the zoo. Come one night or all three--enjoy the park in the dark! It's opening night for NightFalls! Vehicle traffic is one-way through Ramsey Park during NightFalls. Roads close each night at 7:00pm and the Grove St/West entrance opens at 8:30pm for event traffic. Walkers may enter on Grove St or Oak St or on one of the trails on Baker Dr, Bridge St (by the ELCA Synod office), Laser Trail (by the Redwood County Museum), Grove St or Oak St (just past the golf course). Wondering where to park and walk? There are many options within easy access to the park. Here is a list of parking options: o Limited street parking around Grove St entrance o Street parking near trail on Baker Dr o M&L Municipal lot at the corner of E Bridge St and S Washington St (100 S Washington St) with trail access at 175 E Bridge St behind the ELCA Synod office—crosses the Falls of the Redwood o ELCA Synod/Municipal lot o Redwood County Museum with trail access on the east side of the main drive o Street parking along Oak St o Municipal lot at Westside Park (106 Lake Dr) o Falls upper level lot in Ramsey Park o Lower shelter lot in Ramsey Park Worried whether you are fit enough to walk the trails?
