About

Celebrate Redwood Falls is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating and promoting events in Redwood Falls which celebrate the city’s history and showcase the many amenities available within our community.

We were founded in 2014 to celebrate Redwood Falls’ Sesquicentennial (150 years) which kicked off in May with Founders Day when we recognized the establishment of the city and introduced the very popular lighting of Ramsey Falls. The Sesquicentennial was a 3-day fun-filled event sponsored by the City of Redwood Falls and many generous businesses and individuals. Due to the heavy rains in June, the Redwood River Valley Duck Dash was postponed until August but we still had a lot of fun with this fundraiser raffle!

Following the Sesquicentennial, our plan was to re-establish an annual summer celebration in Redwood Falls but around October after a visit to a particularly spooky basement downtown, our imaginations carried us away and we launched The Francois Haunted Hotel for young and old alike to enjoy a good scare during Halloween! Then during the winter doldrums, we decided a winter event was a must and the Fire & Ice Festival was born. With the enormous success of the lighting of Ramsey Falls during the Sesquicentennial, we decided it should be an event on its own because if you wait until summer, there might not be any water in the falls so we created NightFalls in May! After all of this activity, we finally got back to our original plan and Summer Splash became our signature summer event.

With four events throughout the year, our all-volunteer board stays very busy planning, enhancing and executing these events. We think it’s worth it and hope you do too. We love to hear from people who have attended an event so feel free to drop us a line and let us know what you think. None of these events are possible without the help of a lot of volunteers and if you are interested in helping, just click on our Volunteer menu or email us and we will contact you!
